Installation
1. Prepare the Surface: Cleanliness is key! Thoroughly wash and dry the area where you'll be placing the magnet. Remove any dirt, dust, wax, or debris. Vehicle magnets adhere best to smooth, flat metal surfaces. Avoid placing them over curves, moldings, decals, or any uneven areas- these can create air pockets that weaken the magnet's hold.
2. Application: Position the magnet carefully before making full contact. Instead of slapping the magnet on, gently roll it onto the surface from one edge to the other. This helps prevent air bubbles from getting trapped underneath.
While magnets should hold at normal driving speeds, it's generally recommended to remove them if you plan on driving at very high speeds. -
Care
Remove the magnets regularly (ideally daily, but at least weekly or bi-weekly) to clean both the magnet and the vehicle surface. This prevents dirt and moisture from accumulating, which can damage the paint over time.
When removing the magnet, lift it from the sides or edges, not from the corners. Avoid pulling or dragging it across the surface, as this can stretch or damage the magnet. -
Longevity
To ensure longevity, remove the magnets once a week, thoroughly clean the backing and surface they are applied on, and do not leave them in the sun indefinitely. Sun exposure/weather contributes significantly to wear.
To store this product, we recommend a placing it on a flat magnetic surface, like a filing cabinet.
